Verstehbahnhof Fürstenberg

The Verstehbahnhof in Fürstenberg/Havel is an open workshop, a media studio, an event location, and a public living room at the same time. It serves as a social, cooperative learning space for people of all ages and is based on the tradition of hackerspaces and makerspaces.

The goal of the Verstehbahnhof is to spark curiosity about the future and technology and to enable a self-directed, creative approach to it. Visitors can learn practical skills such as soldering, programming, or working with 3D printers and laser cutters. At the same time, important topics such as data security and the responsible use of social media are addressed. The joy of discovering and understanding plays a central role in this.

The workshop is well-equipped and offers a variety of materials – from fischertechnik to microcontrollers like the Calliope Mini. This makes digitalization tangible, accessible, and playful.
